How to remix a recipe with AI
Adapt a recipe you already saved. Choose a few changes, preview exactly what will update, then save onto the same recipe.
AI recipe remix adapts a recipe you already saved. Ask for dietary swaps, a faster weeknight version, or a custom change in your own words. MyMealVault shows what will change, then you decide whether to save it onto that same recipe.
Remix a saved recipe
Open a recipe
From Home, Recipes, or Planner, open the recipe you want to adapt.Click Remix
Next to Start cooking, click Remix.Choose your changes
Click one or more suggestions, like Make it vegetarian or Kid-friendly. You can also describe a change in your own words.Remix it
Click Remix it. MyMealVault reads the recipe, updates ingredients, and rewrites the steps that need to change.Review, then save or discard
Read the change summary and the before-and-after lines. Click Save to replace this recipe with the remix, or Discard to keep the original.
What you can ask for
Common options include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, no beef or pork, lower sodium, faster weeknight, one pan, kid-friendly, and lighter. If you set household dietary needs, matching options appear first.
You can also type a custom request, such as using chicken instead of beef or skipping mushrooms. Combine a few requests into one remix.
Other places to start a remix
- After you save a new recipe, you may see Remix it for your table. That opens the same remix flow on the recipe you just added.
- When you edit a recipe, use Suggest recipe changes for next time to remix without leaving the editor.
What saving does
Saving replaces that recipe in your vault. Collections, meal plans, and grocery lists that already use it stay pointed at the same recipe, now with the remixed ingredients and steps. Discard leaves the original as it is. MyMealVault notes that the recipe was remixed, so you can see it came from an earlier version.
Limits
